My grandfather worked for Belle Isle Creamery as a delivery man approx. late 1920's/early 1930's. I'm not sure where Belle Isle Creamery was - possibly East Detroit. I have a picture of a picture of about 50 men and 4 women (man in center has a trophy in front of him) with a sign in back of them that reads Belle Isle Creamery Co. and a building to the left with a Belle Isle Creamery Sign on it. Does anyone have any information on Belle Isle Creamery or know of anyone who worked there? Hello, I am looking for anyone with any information re: the Dera family. They are from Mt. Clemens and the surrounding areas. I have particular interest in anyone who has any information on Harry Kenneth Dera. He was the owner of Sager Carey Auto Glass on Northbound Gratiot, which was later taken over by his sons, Ronald and Robert. Family story tells that Harry was born in Denmark and came to the States as a stowaway. The only info I have for him is his obit, death certificate, and social security card. Any help anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jen Dera jdera@comcast.net

Thanks for info. It appears that we have different information on this branch of the Lindermans or a branch with the same names. Don't believe that but possible. Here is what we have. James and Lucretia Linderman born in New York, appeared in the 1850 census in Summit County, Ohio. Family members included: May (19), Ephriam (17), Henry (12),James and Jason (Twins - 9), Benjamin (7), and Albert (1). May and Ephriam born in New York, the balance of children born in Ohio. James H. according to the Lenox Burial Ground listing (local cemetery), died in Macomb County, Michigan 1873. (In the 1870 Michigan census) he is listed as retired and living with his son Jason. Lucretia, according to the Lenox Burial Ground listing, died in Macomb County, Michigan 1864. Sometime between 1850 and 1860 census, the family moved from Summit County, Ohio to Macomb County, Michigan. Census records confirm this. As a side note, we have no connection to the Linderman line, and only purs! ued it from a Civil War veteran standpoint. We did confirm that four (4) of the boys served in the Civil War. Take care, Bob and Cherie Allen

Mida born in 1908, died 21 Jan. 1993. http://www.ancestry.com/search/rectype/vital/ssdi/main.htm If you are looking for her maiden name, her death record should have it if the informant knew it. Cost is $15.00 from the State of Michigan. Social Security Application which she herself would have filled out would also have her maiden name, parents' names, birthplace, etc but they raised their fees to either 27.00 or 29.00 for a copy of the application. If you have the name of the funeral home, I would write them to see if they have the information on her maiden name and included a SASE. I have found funeral homes to be very good at helping with information about the deceased. Hope this helps.

Dear Listers, A minor glitch that was preventing the retrieval of some records in the 1890 Special Veterans Census of Macomb County has been repaired. If you searched the database when it was first announced and did not retrieve expected records, you may want to repeat your search now that the interface has been fixed. I've got David Fitzgerald married to Katherine Niebauer, my grandparents, so I'm totally sure on that. I've also got David's sister, Margaret, married to Thomas Powers probably in late 1800's. I'm not quite as sure on this one as Margaret didn't appear in the 1870 census if I was looking at the right Fitzgerald family. All the other names matched the info I had but I'm learning that may not mean it's the right family.
