    1. [MiMacomb] Louis Tremblay/Trombley & Victoria Robertjeanne
    2. Lorelei Rockwell
    3. I recently completed a research project on Louis Tremblay/Trombley [1811-1859] & Victoria Robertjeanne [1812-1858] and their children. Anyone descended from them is likely to find the information interesting since it gives his complete ancestry--which was not known when FRENCH FAMILIES IN THE DETROIT RIVER REGION was revised in 1987. The couple appears in brief outline in the book on page 1203. The project is presented in a 65 page booklet which is available at both the Mt Clemens and St Clair Shores Libraries [as well as some others]. It unlocked the history of my great-grandfather Paul Trombley for me and I hope it will be useful to many others. I have a few copies of the booklet left which I'd like to see in the hands of family descendants or other interested individuals based on reimbursement for photocopying and mailing costs only. My e-mail address is: lorelei@kennedy-rockwell.com

    1. [MiMacomb] need help with searching family of my great-uncle Karel Hendrikse
    2. W.Tjepkema
    3. Hello everyone, I'm searching the family of my great-uncle Karel Hendrikse, born 27-03-1884 in Amsterdam(Holland) and died Jan. 1964 in Macomb (MI): HENDRIKSE, KAREL DATE OF DEATH: January 02, 1964 COUNTY OF DEATH: Macomb. (Roseville?) He was immigrated on April 1913 to America with his wife Anna(Johanna Maria Veen), she was born in 1890(1) in Amsterdam (Holland). They had at least one son named William, born 1913 in America(??) and they lived in Detroit. They have told me that he had worked at a Ford Compagny in Detroit I've received this information a couple of weeks ago, >Detroit News Paper- 4 Jan. 1964 >Karel Hendrikse, of 16470 Robert Avenue >Dear Father of William; grandfather of two grandchildren. >Services from Wm. D. Clyne Funeral Home 22322 Gratiot Ave E. Detroit, >Monday 10 A.M. On this obit I saw that my great-uncle had also two grandchildren. I wrote the funeral home but unfortunately they had a fire two years ago and all the archives are lost. So now I can't find the cemetery where my great-uncle was buried. I'm searching already for a long time for information of my great-uncle Karel Hendrikse and his family. (My great-uncles name, I saw, was also written as Carl Hendricks). I'm now a little bit desperate and don't know where to look anymore. I hope that there is someone who know anything about these persons or recognized one of the names, because I'm trying to find more details of my great-uncle and of his son and grandchildren. I hope very much to find them and that they are still alive so I would be able to contact them at least. thanks and greetings, Mrs. Nel Tjepkema-Hendrikse from The Netherlands

    1. RE: [MiMacomb] Death records in the catholic church
    2. Lorelei Rockwell
    3. A few years ago, Al Sierens, an exceptional researcher in Mt Clemens, published the burial records for St Peter's [in English] from 1869-1939. It looks like the women are listed by their married name, but if the maiden name was known, it is included in the body of the entry. For example: Peltier, Lena, died 7 September 1892, wife of Albert Peltier, born Lena Bartrow.
