    1. Rocker family of Macomb County........
    2. Ann
    3. HI Everyone, I was hoping if someone could help me... I am looking for information about the Rocker family of Macomb county Michigan...... I used to live next to a Mr Rocker on Hall road for years back in the 80's and didnt think much of it, until now. I believe are are related. He was elderly then, I believe he has since passed away, I believe his first name was August. I have come across some info on August Rocker, but unsure if it is the same gentleman. Is there any way to find out if he lived on Card Rd and Hall Rd in the 80's? August Walter Rocker born 7-25-1918 died 3-21-1996, I seen online where there are two obits for him, one in the macomb daily on march 22 1996 and one also in the macomb daily march 24 1996......... If anyone could help me I would greatly appreciate it........ Ann Wright (Marsh) --------------------------------- Stay in the know. Pulse on the new Yahoo.com. Check it out.

If you know the maiden name of the grandmother , maybe its her parents. Then again it could be someone elses or even her own stone. You can view the site & the headstones on the cemetery list via: mcpl@libcoop.net Scroll around. Its a great site. Good luck, Phil

    3. I take it you have Rhoda & Marvin in 1850, right? Marvin looks as if he's the younger brother of Orrin W SCOTT and perhaps Susan HART. Since Orrin W SCOTT is a tailor and Elisha HART is a merchant, perhaps they're in the Genesee County [or other county] history. Following Orrin certainly seems a hope...following his line may be as useful as tracing Marvin's. Have your queried at a rootsweb message board--either surname or geographical location? Have you found Orrin in 1860? Try finding Orrin or Marvin in a turn of the century county history, if you haven't already done so. There are two Macomb County histories which ought to tell about Marvin if he was an early Romeo school principal. In you haven't already done so, be sure to check here: http://www.libcoop.net/mountclemens/genealog.htm search for the Leeson and also the Eldredge Macomb County histories, there might be something about the Romeo schools. 3. Daily Monitor Leader, Mar 10 1932. .... Mistrial because of a "familiarizing" conversation between a witness William Schonschack, and a juror Frank Mulso ....... The Schonschack case, an attempt on the part of the widow and six children of the late Fred Schonschack to break the will of Wilhelmine Schonschack has attracted a full courtroom. Court interference with the will is contested by a large group of relatives, who are named as beneficiaries. Howard, Ruth and Wallace Schonschack, minors, and Evelyn, Eleanor and Lila are plaintiffs in the appeal from probate court to circuit court, against probation of the will. They claim that undue influence was used to make Wilhelmine Schonschack alter the will on the day after the funeral of her son, Fred, in August 1930. The day after his funeral the will was changed. Wilhelmine Schonschack cutting Mrs. Fred Schonschack off and giving $5 each to each of the six children, for the express reason of preventing a will contest. To the following she left one-seventh shares in the estate: Mrs. Mollie Heft, Mrs. Theresa Boylan, Mrs. Clara Vance, a son Walter, a son Benjamin, a son William and Charles Jr. Mr. Schonschack, the mother and grandmother, died on September 21, 1930. Heirs to the estate are: sons, George, Walter, Benjamin, William and Charles; Charles, a grandson; Theresa Boylan and Clara Vance daughters, and Howard, Ruth, Wallace, Evelyn, Eleanor, Lila, the children of Fred Schonschack, deceased.

    3. When I traced my family in the St. Peter and Pauls Catholic Church in Detroit, Wayne, MI I had a hard time and had to hire a researcher to get the information I wanted. She viewed the films at the Burton Historical Library in Detroit. I know her time was limited on the machine and she had to sign a waver saying any of the information she found would not be published or used in any way. I would suggest searching yourself, hiring someone or try writing to the church yourself. Jolene famlyfndr@coslink.net

    3. This is what I was told back in 2003 about St. Peter and Paul's cemetery by a member at St. Mark's Lutheran in Roseville (formerly St. Peter and Paul's church). I had family who were members there for a long time. This happened in the 1950s I was told. Hope that helps. Tina Kacanowski The grave yard was ordered vacated by the city. The graves were moved by each family of the deceased. If there were no families, no one knows where or if they were moved. One account of the demise is, " The old broken stones and what was left of the graves, mostly much of nothing, on grave of a relative was pretty much gone to ashes, were pushed by a bulldozer and covered over." If you would walk to the center between Martin and Meyer, as I did, you would find a raised part of the park about half way in the middle. I believe that is where they covered the remains. I only wished that they would have placed a marker there. Some one said some of the families moved some of their graves to a Lutheran cemetery somewhere in Detroit. ? ----- Original Message ----- From: <gschluck@comcast.net> To: <MIMACOMB-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, July 16, 2006 6:46 PM Subject: [MiMacomb] St Peter and Pauls Cemetery > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Surnames: Hamann, Mahs > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/IGB.2ACI/597 > > Message Board Post: > > looking for anyone who might have information on this cemetery.
