    2. Couple of things you can do. Call A. H. Peters (our family just calls them Peters) at 313-224-5500 during business hours. or write at 20705 Mack Grosse Pointe MI 48236 They my have information. At the very least find out what cemetery, if there was a burial. If there was a burial; may be with his parents or at least in the same cemetery. Contact the Macomb Cty Clerk's office and get a copy of the death cert. If the information was provided, parents will be there along with cemetery information and more. There is a fee, although I don't remember how much. Last dealings with the Macomb Clerk's office took about a week. happy hunting!! marge -----Original Message----- From: gc-gateway@rootsweb.com To: MIMACOMB-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Tue, 20 Feb 2007 12:45 PM Subject: Re: [MIMACOMB] newspaper obit for 26 Dec 2006 This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Seems bad that the records keepers are so bad at having this info , as i have as you seen an address for cemetery and it also as you see has no street address. someone has the maintence for this cemetery and somewhere the records must exist? but for past two years the cemetery holds the distinction of being the worst record keepers. we tried tiringly to look for obit real by real in lansing to have to come back again another day. His death is alos not listed on SS# death index as all deaths from 1900 to 1910 are just plain gone. the DCMH for michigan said the 1900 to 1910 records are moved and lost but vitals still will except fees with of course knowing no search results will be found for 1900-1910. I put four death dates as my goal this year but la! st year was a bust spent lots of time and money. guess thats are common thread we spend tim eand talent but sometimes just meet new friends.

I have not been able to get a letter mailed there because our post office will not deliver any mail that does not have #s adress such as ridge rd (with out numbers like 12345 ridge rd. )are returned undeliverable. I found a researcher who gave a photo of tombstone says 1909 only and we have tried to find obits and records in the lansing library and no Charles H. Lincoln 1909. the funny thing is he was a surgeon and a doctor seems odd no obit? this little rural cemetery has no records except the record keeper in richmond which says they have only an entry says 1833-1909. Thanks again.

They only list 73 people, but it's a fairly large cemetery. (Look at the satellite photo on the Find A Grave site if you have high speed internet.) If you have ancestors who you know are buried at Willow Grove and who are not listed on FindAGrave, consider adding them. That will help future researchers. 3. I missed the beginning of this query so I'm not entirely sure what you are looking for, but if it is death dates and information, you might try Tiffany Young funeral home in Armada. Many of the people buried in Willow Grove were laid out or buried through Tiffany Young, and they have records going back to the late 19th century. I've always found them very helpful. They are located at: 73919 North Avenue Armada, MI 48005 Phone Number: (586) 784-9123 Ruth Mills ----- Original Message ----- > > Message Board Post: > > I wrote them they also went to have nothing except 1833-1909. they did not > know what to do either? they tried and same results! this Dr. Charles > henry Lincoln is buried next to his wife, and I have her tombstone photo > also. 3. Hi, Meade Cemetery is in the village of Meade. The cemetery is located just east of North Ave., on 26 Mile Rd. It actually is east of Romeo Plank Rd., but by about 3 or 4 miles or so. I'd say it's about 1/4 mile or less, east of of North Ave. I don't have any other info about it. Hope this helps!

    1. [MIMACOMB] Meade Cemetery help
    2. Hello everyone, I recently discovered a relative buried in/at Meade Cemetery. After doing a google.com search all I found is on 26 Mile Road east of romero Plank Road. I looked in a Rand McNally street book and could not find the cemetery there, which is unusual for them. Before driving up there, I would like to contact the caretaker to verify the information and possibly receive copies of the cemetery records. Is it possible the cemetery is part of the county, a city/township or some other enitiy? Any help is appreciated. 3. Dear Listers, I have a lot of data on Frank Defer and his family which I am happy to share. I have misplaced information which, as I recall, mentioned that Frank ran a grocery store in St Clair Shores. All the census records, however, show him as a house painter. Does anyone know ANY Defer who operated a grocery store? And where it might have been? Regards, Lorelei in California
