I am in the 1930 census with my Father Frank Zerla age 32, mother Josephine age 26 sister Katherine age 4 and sister Mary age 1. Can someone find the census page and send it to me? I am not sure if it was Macomb or Oakland county at the time. Let me know the costs involved. Thanks, Richard

He was found at a lumberyard owned by Frank Stapley in Centerline on February 12, 1957. The death was ruled a suicide by the police department, but the family was told he was shot three times. We are just looking for answers. Thank you.
What libraries in Oakland or Macomb counties would have the Macomb Daily on microfilm? Thanks. Carla Schade
Could someone please look up a death record for an Andrew McKenna, who died in New Haven in August 1950? He was born in Scotland in 1883 and married to Rowena Meyers. Could someone check a city directory around 1950 to see if they did indeed live there? Thank you. Lorraine [email protected]
Ann, If you remember we have corresponded in regard to the Stroup and Hall families. Just not at the same time. Let me see if I can make this simple. William is the son of Jesse Hall whos father was William Hall and mother was Hannah Lain (last name not confirmed). Jesse's brothers were Abner C. Hall and Isaac Hall. Isaac lived in Macomb Co and Abner died in Macomb Co. This is where it gets tricky. Abner's daughters Sarah (Sarah Gamber), Susannah (Conklin), and Hannah (Stroup), These would be William's cousins are all related to me as was Rebecca's brother's wife, Evert (Catherine Stroup). Hannah Hall (Samuel Stroup) was also Catherine's sister-in-law. As for William's sisters. Sally is Sarah and Lizzie was Elizabeth. There was also a Mary. William and his sisters (including Rebecca)were all named in a law suit in regard to their grandfather's property when he died. I hope this has not been too confusing! __________________________________________________________________ Your favorite stores, helpful shopping tools and great gift ideas. Yes, James's older brother was William Epenetus Bishop. The first wife of William was Maria Sullivan; he married her sister Elizabeth Sullivan after she died E&E = Epenetus Bishop and Esther (Shirkey) the parents of Adrian, William, E. Amelia (on the same headstone as Adrian), Arrena and James George W. Bishop, son of William, is my grandfather Sherman Bishop was from Virginia; he could have been tied to Epenetus through New York.

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/IGB.2ACI/206.1 Message Board Post: Dave & Russell: William Hall and his wife Rebecca Waldron did not any children or at least not any that survived childhood. He died 28 Aug 1869 testate at Armada. By his will dated 1863 he left everything to his wife Rebecca. The petition filed by Evert J Waldron (brother of Rebecca) states that his only heirs were his wife Rebecca, sisters Lizzie Boltenhouse & Sally Burkstar (Burkslater?) of Macomb Co, sister Rebecca Vokes of New York and the children of Polly Smith a deceased sister. The 1830 census shows William & Rebecca with a male age 15-20 who would be too old to be their son. The 1840 census shows them with a female 20-30 (too old to be a child) and a male 5-10. These might be Phebe Stroup age 35 and James Smith (probably a son of his sister Polly) who were living with them at the age of 15 in the 1850 census. Actually this family lived in Ray Twp, not Macomb Twp. Russell, you said that you might know William's parents. Do his siblings as listed above go along with what you have? Ann
My 1880 Macomb County Census index shows the following HALL head of households in Macomb Township: George S Ma 460A Harry B Ma 464B Isaac Ma 468B John F Ma 468B The introduction says they are on reels 592 and 593. There are other Halls listed, but in other townships: Washington, Bruce, Richmond, Armada, Clinton, Erin, Clinton - City of Mount Clemens, and Lenox. With luck, Rebecca will be living with one of the children. Marcia McCrary BATES and WEBSTER desc.
William Hall & wife Rebecca bought county land 1826, & are listed in 1830 census w/ children. They're buried in Macomb Center cemetary William 1804-1869 & Rebecca 1802-1886. Does anyone know who their children were? I don't know the children but may know who William's father was. I would be interested in the children's names if someone has them. If Howard Hall is lurking out there he may be able to give us the information. Allen County Public Library-Genealogy Department in Fort Wayne, Indiana is NOT closed! Yes, the library is going to expand, and yes, the library will move to an interim location. Yes it is true we will be going through renovation in the future. However the move to our interim location will not be happening until at least July/Aug of next year, 2003. In the interim location, which is located just 4 blocks from the current library, the Genealogy Department will be open to researchers. Until that time our collection is open at its current location (900 Webster St, Fort Wayne) accessible and ready for use as always. We will continue to have the resources of this nationally known collection available both at the current location, at the interim location, and of course in our new improved library after the renovation. Please pass this information on to genealogy societies, family history researchers, and libraries, anyone, any organization interested in family history research. For further information visit our web site www.acpl.lib.in.us, or phone 260-421-1225. We would enjoy having you visit us!
