Ken, Julia was the daughter of Henry Trombley and Elisabeth Chauvin listed on page 1187 of Denissen Revision, and the Trombley line can be taken back from there. However, on page 1187, she was incorrectly identified as the wife of George Henry Brinker. The Julia Trombley who married George H Brinker was b 28 Sep 1829 the daughter of Joseph Louis Tremblay and Cecilia Crequi (Denisson pg.1188-1189). The probate record for Henry Trombley naming his daughter Julia Frazor is at the Mount Clemens Public Library http://www.libcoop.net/mountclemens/genealog.htm An index to the older Macomb County Probate Records will soon be on-line from the Library website. I'm particularly interested in Rosanna; I found her in both 1860 & 1870 census of Chesterfield, (Rosana age 2 & Rosa Ann age 12). After that I lost her. Does anyone have access to the Michigan marr records who would be willing to do a lookup for me please? (or death records??) I'd appreciate it a lot. Also, Hannah died Dec 1864; were there any local newspapers where there might have been an obit? I'd appreciate any help at all. Would also like to hear from anyone researching this family. Thanks, Gloria Howard
You might want to contact the St. Clair Shores public library (next city to Grosse Pointe). One of the founding families was Trombley. There is a street named after them as well. I'll see if I have anything in the local history books I have. Also, in case you were not aware ... Grosse Pointe is in Wayne County, not Macomb.
