He married a Catherine Stewart born c.1835 Ireland. They married and lived in New York and had at least one daughter (my great-great-grandmother) named Mary Eliza Anderson, born July 24, 1865 New York. The family later moved to Ohio. Mary Eliza Anderson married Asa John Dibell (also spelled Dibble) June 29, 1895 in McLean Co., Illinois. They had a son, Gilbert Anderson Dibble, born February 15, 1897 in Normel, McLean Co., Illinois. They then moved to Michigan. I do NOT know if John Anderson and Catherine Stewart (Stuart), married on board ship or met and married in New York.
