Bureau of Indian Affairs.I found a copy of a Ottawas and Chippewas Census of August 1,1908 at the Mackinac City Public Library and it showed my great-grandmother Mrs. Samuel LaBlanc/LeBlanc( Elizabeth Belanger) as being full blooded Indian. The tribal specialist told me that the government didn't count her father Louis Belanger. How could someone be considered full blooded if our government only uses blood quantum from only one parent. This just doesn't make sense. That would be like someone claiming to have a full glass of liquid when the glass was only half full.I was told by Gary Miller when I first met him that he found alot of corruption/mistakes on the Indian Rolls.Would you clear up any confusion on my part? Thank You. Cherie
