    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: to many to mention Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/HGB.2ACI/472.1.1.1.1.2.1 Message Board Post: Hi Phil; You can find a copy of the "Book Before The Bridge " at the Library of Michigan in Lansing,Mi and there's also a copy of it at the St. Ignace Public Library.I saw a post on one of these message boards where someone said that that were copies being sold somewhere up in the U.P. but, I can't remember where. As far as the Lozons go whatever information I gave you before was all I had.Since I no longer live in Michigan my resources are limited.A good place to contact and a excellent person to talk to would be the Bureau of Indian Affairs in the Soo.Kim Gravelle is the tribal specialist at that office and her phone number is (906) 632-6809 ext. 3133 She was a great help.In fact she's the one who found and sent vital records, census records etc. to me.She also gave me lots of sources which were a BIG BIG help too.Maybe she can be of the same help to you.Just as long as you can provide her with dates, names, and any other general information you have on whomever you are trying to search she'll do her best to help. She told me once that she has/had no problem helping when someone is trying to help themselves. When I first contacted Kim and some of the other government agencies who handle Indian queries in the U.P. I got the cold shoulder everytime I mentioned what my maiden name was and couldn't figure out why.Come to find out one of my brothers had been very abusive with staff who worked in these offices which became a big turn off.It took me quite sometime before I gained their trust. Now everything is fine and whenever I contact any of those agnecies they're always happy to hear from me and are very helpful. You catch more bees with honey then you do with vinager. Anyhow give Kim a try and see how she can help.Since I can't do to much research myself I'm thinking about teaching people how to do indian research from my home. Sorry I can't be of anymore help then I already have. Respectfully, Cherie
