Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/HGB.2ACI/471.2.2.2.1.1.1.1.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Hi Carol: Elizabeth Belanger and Samuel LaBlanc were my great-grandparents and Eugene LaBlanc and Agnes Amelia Brown were my granparents.My parents were Francis Clarence Tebo and Rita Cecila Whie/LaBlanc.But I recently found a baptismal for my father and it shows his real name at his birth was Francis Nolan Dumas.He was adopted by a Peter Tebo. I also found out from the tribal specialist that Elizabeth was really only a quarter blood and not full blooded like the 1870 and 1908 annunity paylists state.Since the BIA never counted her father Louis Belanger and her mother was only concidered half that would only make Elizabeth a quarter blood. I'm not concerned about that anyhow,cause I have no intention of joining a tribe anyhow. My sole reason for locating my ancestors was because my father died when I was nine and I never learened anything about my mothers family either.I don't do look-ups anymore,cause I got burn out.It was just to much to digest. So I've been throwing out what I don't need or doesn't apply to my family and put it all away.I just got tired of looking at it. The query you probably saw about Antoine Martin was someting I was trying to find for another cousin and nothing of my own.I've been thinking about teaching classes on how to do family history.I haven't quite made up my mind on that one as yet.
