The reason I became interested in Chief Joesph Santigo and his family is because, my father was born on the Santigo settlement and Joesph's son-in-law adopted my father.I'm related by blood from my mother's side which arrived from the Belanger/Belonga/White/LaBlanc's,cause several of her ancestors married into the Chiefs family.I'm also related to the other well known Chief Amable Ance/Hance through the Ponds,Boucha's,Grondins,Prues. Chief Amable Ance's mother Mary Ann was the 2nd wife of my ggrandfather Louis Pond. All the vital records and such from both side's of my family I recieved from the BIA in Sault Saint Marie,Mi. Thank You for your reply. Cherie Tebo Eck
Hi Cherie, Since I am related to Chief Anse and you are, that should make us some kind of cousins, dont you think. Too many names for me to get involved with. I have read many of your e-mails on the MIMACKIN-L and enjoyed them. I still would like more information about Chief Anse, who was his wife, where did he come from and who were his parents. Anything would be appreciated. Thanks.
