I've been in the Ft Du Baude Museum a few years ago, but did not notice the exhibit you mentioned(re Elizabeth)... I'll look it up this year. My gg-grandfather, Noel Fourquin dit Leveille, was married to Madeline Lozon. After Madeline died, he marrier her sister, Elizabeth. I'll have to check my records, but I think he married Elizabeth in the 1860's. Phil
Regarding Chief Santigo, whose "sister Elizabeth married a Lozon." Here's what I have on Elizabeth, wife of Joseph Lozon. Note she is listed as race "I" in the 1870 census. Their daughter, Elizabeth, married first Oliver Terrien, then Noel Leveille. (Oliver Terrien by Marie Belanger is my line.) Jeff Elizabeth Pelotte and Joseph Lozon 1.
