    3. Hi all, It seems I remember reading someone wrote that they had birth records on permanent loan from LDS for the Island? Or someone has a working St. Anne's CD? I'm trying to confirm the birth of Emilie or Emily Cadieux to Caroline and Felix Cadieux. I think she was born in 1851 between 1850 and 1853. Caroline Cadieux was the widow of Francois Janell (Gennell), daughter of a McColic (or McColleck or McCulloch) born in Michigan. They are on the 1850 census in Holmes Township. The younger Felix Cadieux b. 1839 in NY was a son by Felix the elder's first wife. The younger Felix and his half brother Alfred Gennell both served as Justices of the Peace in the straits area. Caroline turns up on the 1880 census in Chicago with four daughters, all younger than Emilie, who was married in Chicago in 1868. Any info confirming Emilie is indeed of this Cadieux family is appreciated. Thanks, Karen
