    1. [MIMac] Brown or Glasier families 1891-1893
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Brown Glasier Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/HGB.2ACI/434 Message Board Post: According to her death certificate, my great-grandmother DeaOra Madge Glasier was born in St Ignace 27 Jun 1893. However, the county courthouse has no record of her birth. I assumed that her death certifacate was incorrect, since no census or any other family histories mentioned anything in Michigan farther north than Clare! Then I came across a marriage announcement in the St Ignace News for DeaOra's parents. From St Ignace News, 24 Oct 1891: Married - In this city, Wednesday, Oct. 21st at the residence of Mr. Brown, third ward, David Glasier, of D.W. English's tailoring establishment, to Mrs. Effie Viola Bradshaw, of Albion. Rev. J. Paseee officiated. Mr Brown is most likely Neri H Brown, Effie's father. Can anyone shed some light on any of this information? Has anyone heard of the Brown or Glasier families in St Ignace? 1880 and 1900 census show both families living elsewhere, so neither family could have lived in St Ignace for very long. Has anyone ever heard of "D.W. English's tailoring establishment"? Has anyone heard of Rev. J. Paseee? I'm sure that is not the correct spelling of his name, but it was the best I could make out from the newspaper copy. Thanks to anyone who can shed some light on these families.
