Dianne - Hello, I previously sent you an email about your names esp Montreuil and Belanger. You can ck out my info at my website: Mackinac Roots Genealogy.com: Mackinac Roots As far as the St. Anne's CD you will have to order that from the church on the island or you may be able to get it thru interlibrary loan in the meantime. The church does close during the winter. Let me know if I can answer any questions for you. Terry

I can't find my copy at the moment, but I'm sure that if you write snail mail to Ste Anne's, Mackinac Island, MI, they will respond with the answers you need. It wasn't expensive when I bought my copy. I haven't had any trouble when I explored its innards. I just haven't been able to find it for the last two weeks. Hi, I am looking for any information about Chief Anse from Mackinaw City. He is my maternal grandfather from which I am a member of the Sault Tribe. Thanks. Yes I got the 1839 census from a lady that came across my message. Then right after that, the Wisconsin Historical Society mailed me the copy I requested. With all the copyright discussion on NISHNAWBE site, I didn't know if WHS was going to send it to me, but they did. It is so helpful. I do want to thank you for your offer to me to copy it tho. Did you lose your copy or need a look-up? I'm kinda scared to advertise I have it after all the copyright messages on NISHNAWBE but it's not like I'm selling any information, just want to help fellow genealogists like me that don't have access to vital records or live nearby. Let me know what you need. Peggy. > > >

The Julia Paquin, I am looking for has Alex Paquin as her father in an application for marriage to Arthur J. Minor on January 12, 1917 in the state of Michigan, in Mackinac County, record # 2876. It has her name as Julia Paquin and Julia Kelley, age 33. I assume she was previously married to a man by the last name of Kelley/Kelly. Anita

I have misplaced my notes so am unable to give dates now, but they would have been in the last third of 1800 through the first quarter of 1900. If this strikes a bell, I will adjust my sequence of work to get the added detail soon.

Anita - perhaps you could help us by giving us as much information as you have such as when Susan and Julia were born (since this is the Mackinac page I'm assuming thats where they were born) and who their parents were. Have you looked under alternative spellings such as Paucan? Thanks! Terry
