Marsi and List: Most of my family was of Montgomery and Preble County, Ohio. My lists are pretty much of those families. I lost a disk that had my very first research on it, and so far have not been able to locate it among my various boxes from storage. Finally closed it last week. Now the fun begins. The MILLS family of Darke Co. that I know about, Colonel James and his wife, Sarah, I recently discovered from the SUTTON SEARCHERS from a search on the internet. That family is of Sussex Co, New Jersey, and other related surnames were: SUTTON - REED - CONNELL VAN SICKLE HAYDON MARTIN STONEMAN OSBORNE SCOTT and BOATMAN are some of them. James and Sarah were in Sussex Co. NJ. on the SUTTON SEARCHERS site. All I remember about Darke Co, Ohio, was that at the time, all entries seem to say that he had been shot, and died in 1810. But then there was another story saying that he recovered from those wounds and died many years later. And that some of the stories said that John and Thomas names were used interchangeably. Frontier stories I guess were not as accurate as the published books would have us believe. Pat cw
