I am particularly interested in Morton’s parents and siblings. Morton was my g-g grandfather. Morton was born in Indiana on May 20, 1923 and died in Jackson County, Indiana on November 21, 1851. He married Parthena Eastin on March 22, 1842 in Jackson County, Indiana. They had four children that I am aware of; one of them being my great grandfather, James Patterson Mills. Morton Mills bought 2 parcels of land ( 40 acres and 40 acres) in Lawrence County, Indiana on 4/10/1848 and 5/10/1848 according to the Bureau of Land Management-Eastern States, General Land Office. Morton is buried beside Parthena and Infant Mills in Liberty Cemetery, Jackson COunty, Indiana. In Jackson, Owen Township, Indiana 1850 Census it shows Morton, Parthena, Mary E., John J., & James P. (James P is 2 yrs old) Any information would be appreciated. Thank you!
