Hello Everyone. I am sort of new to this so I apologize if I am doing this incorrectly. I am trying to trace my grandmother's family line. Her mother was Alice Sylvester Mills (B. 12/14/1886, D. 8/25/1973). She married John Bunyan Shaw some time around 1905 and resided in Union County, NC. Alice & John Shaw had the following children: Albert Thomas Shaw who married Ruth Linker Mary A. Shaw who married Lester Cornelius "Neal" Helms John B. Shaw Jr. who was killed by lightening at age 14 Etta Jane Shaw (my Grandmother) who married Herman Glenn Starnes Walter Frank Shaw who married Susie Doster I have not been able to confirm this information but my grandmother had told me before her death that Alice Mill's parents were Albert and Nettie Mills who lived in Chesterfield Co. SC. Albert & Nettie had believe it or not 18 children. How they kept sane with all those kids I'll never know. =) The only names I know are Vance Mills, Lillie Goldie Mills who married a ? Martin, Jim Mills, English Mills, Baxter Mills, & Neilly Mills who married Jim Ashcraft. I have not been able to find any information on Albert and Nettie or their children. My grandmother had Alzheimer's so I am not completely sure the info I have is correct. Any info or help anyone can give me will be greatly appreciated.
