Hi Marna: Have you looked at the database of Helen S Ullman, I believe that she has some parts of this same MILLS family on it. But she is convinced that some or all of our family MILLS, descended from Jonathan and Martha HALSTEAD MILLS, not the Samuel, son of George. Son of Samuel, son of Joseph, etc. that goes to my branch of the MILLS of Westfield, Essex Co, NJ. There again, we all seem to have the same predicament, way too many Samuel's, William's, John's, Thomas', along with the Timothy's, etc. to sort out. But again, with the DNA testing, it does lead some of us back to or about New Jersey, that we have a male MILLS do a DNA test, will possibly tell the tale as to which line we are of. Or do the female test, MTDNA, which of course, for me would be exorbitant in any day. I did manage to save for months for the male DNA test that I twisted my brother's arm to give up for me. (But after reading through the DNA discussion on Genealogy.com message boards forum, I am not so sure if I now made the right decisions.) But then that is another whole ball game in itself to research.) pat cw
