Hi, Regarding the Quaker Mills, there is evidence some of them were Quakers. The first Mills into the area, so far as I can learn, was James Mills and a Robert Mills. This is said to be the origin of the present Montgomery Mills family. The land for Montgomery Co.NC was then Anson County, NC. Most of the people I run into researching this family say they came from the James River, in Virginia. But, I'm learning too. Ken
