Happy New Year all, Does anyone know who the father of ALONZO DERRICK MILLS, b. 8 Dec. 1812, in Genesee Co., NY was? He moved west, ending up in Grant Co.,WI. I have been told he was a James Mills, but have no dates or place. Any and all help greatly appreciated........... Don Dye
Don I think we may have corresponded before at some point but didn't find any connection. I am sorry that I don't have any information on your Alonzo Derrick Mills, but I am looking to make a connection with a descendant of John Mills of Braintree MA, or Samuel Mills of Dedham, MA. I was wondering if you might be descendant from one or the other? I am looking to compare DNA with one or both families so would like to know of a descendant. Good morning John, Thanks for your reply.......My Mills has been a real brick wall. I do not know if the John or Samuel Mills are related or not. Somewhere in my search on the web I found Alonzo's father as JAMES MILLS, SR, b. 26 May 1780, Genesee Co., NY....James father WILLIAM MILLS, b. MA......William's father THOMAS MILLS, b. 1710 London. I have not been able to document any of this and it remains a mystery as to Alonzo's history. Your help would be appreciated....thank you.
