I believe William W. Mills (tax record) and William Mills, Jr. (land purchase) of Warren County, Ohio are one and same person. I believe he is William W. Mills (aka Wm., Jr.), s/o William Mills II and Rebecca and gs/o William Mills I and Amy. This MILLS family lived in Westfield Twp., Essex Co. (now Union Co.), New Jersey. William W. married 1810 in Scotch Plains, Union Co., NJ to Elizabeth Clark and family history tells us he settled for brief times in Hamilton Co., OH, Warren Co., OH; perhaps Montgomery Co., OH and finally Shelby Co., OH. We do know that Jeremiah Mills of Westfield was an early pioneer in Warren Co., OH, and is somehow related to Wm. W. Mills, as Jeremiah and Wm. II were administrators of the estate of Wm. Mills I in Essex Co., NJ. Relationship of the Jeremiah to these other William Mills men is still unknown.
