I have been searching for information regarding my great-grandfather, David Alexander Mills, who was a preacher. My grandmother, Velda Mae Mills (Phillips), spent most of her married life in Pittsburgh, PA area but I don't know where she grew up or what area her dad was from. Also, my grandmother apparently always told her kids that besides the English name Mills, the family was Scotch and German (possibly Irish too, not sure on that). The German name was pronounced "Schrott" - no clue on spelling. I do not currently have the Scotch name and this might be key in learning more about this Mills family.
