    2. To Audrey and Jim, April and List: I have on one of my files that Lewis was born 1798 and on another it is 1817. For Emeline it is from 1814 to 1817. If we go with the birth dates on the 1850 census found on the Http address from Audrey, it says that they are both age 34. Put them born about 1816. That ties in with Lewis' 1817 date, per the date of the census and that he was born in November. But I do have their marriage record from the April 1988 IGI copy from my visit to the LDS FHL center Library way back when. I had nothing else for them until the DNA results became known. On the census it is showing that his middle initial/name is "D". If we go with the practice at the time that sons were middle named from their mother's maiden name, we do have the John and Anna DENMAN MILLS. But then again, we do not have anything that tells us what the "D" stood for? I do not know where the T or D came from? I checked today for Lewis T or D's on rootsweb.com, none of them fit the time frame that we are working. Thank you Audrey for sharing at least the 2 items for Lewis and Emeline. pat cw

    3. Pat - The "T" undoubtedly comes from me, as that was how I originally received the info from my Uncle John Mills 30 years or so ago. I'm pretty convinced that it should have been (is) "D". I was hoping that I would discover his grave near his son's grave (my GGrand Father) in Plainfield, NJ, but when I went to visit the cemetery (Evergreen Cemetery), it was in such a state of disrepair and had been so vandalized, that I was unable to see what was on very many of the other stones there (many had been toppled and/or broken). I contacted the son of a former caretaker of the cemetery, and he said his father had some sort of records pertaining to the cemetery, but his Dad was ill. Said he would see what he could do, but I never heard from him again. I do have a pix of the headstone for David Allen Mills (Lewis D. Mills' son), his wife Elizabeth Gray, their children William Wilbur Mills (my Grand Father) and Lottie Mills. They are all in the same plot along with William's first wife Kate (?) and Lottie's husband, Harry C. Ackerman. Their stone is still untouched (so far).
