I know a fair amount about him. He met an untimely death in 1920 when his children were still young, and my branch of the family lost track of William's children completly many years ago. I would like to track William's descendents down if I can. As to the NJ connection, my working hypothesis is that my Mills branch came from Samuel, s.o. Richard, s.o. Samuel, s.o. Jonathan, s.o. George (Queens, NY), as recorded in the Mills & Kendall Family history that you are familiar with. I am certain that we go back to a Samuel Mills whose father was very likely named Richard. I have circumstantial evidence that he was the Richard mentioned above. Going back from this Richard, I am simply relying on Ms. Ullman's book.
