Hi Mars: The only 2 that I use all the time, are RootsWeb.com and Gencircles.com. As presently they are free. I cannot afford Ancestry.com anymore. Limited income and all of that. Their sites also are good in that they give you some categories to plug in info and then they sort by it. Not sure about other gen sites and how they work as have not used them. Genealogy.com, they do not seem to sort by the info you plug in. They just list all names similar to first name last name. Does not seem to take into consideration spouse names, or place of where they lived. kindridcousins.com? Do not know much about them. Maybe others can recommend too. Must be hundreds out there?
