    3. Hi Frances, Perhaps Alexander MILLS' father served in the WAR of 1812-14 from Vermont as all men living in Vermont ages 16 to 60 volunteered for service with the invasion of Plattsburg, NY, in campaign of 1814. Could any of Alexander's children have been named after their paternal grandparents? Listed in VT Roster of War of 1812-14: Amos, Clark M. of Johnson, Lamoille Co., VT, Collins, Daniel, David, Elias, Ephraim, Ezekiel, Joseph of Waitsfield, Washington Co., VT, Reuben + Louisa [pension no. 31877], or Samuel + Rebecca [pension no. 8171]. Please let me know if you would like to me transcribe 1 or 2 of these soldier's short military data. My grandmother's maiden name was CROSIER and was born in Rutland, Rutland Co., VT. I do not have any MILLS family that I know of in Vermont. Hope this helps, Jan Jordan in VT From: <LuvKUHawks@aol.com> I do not know the parents' name. They lived in VT at least part of their early lives, had at least one child, Alexander, in VT in about 1831, moved to Durham County, Canada, by 1833 or 1835, when their son Henry was born. Frances
