    2. On the DNA test, you can do the MTDNA test, but it is more expensive. That is for the female line back to the female MILLS of your family. If you know that at one time, there was female mills ancestor, that test would prove it out. I am not acquainted with how to read those results, but going to the dna web site, one of your choice, may give more insight how it definitely will prove out. Yes, for sure, no blood is needed. Just a simple swab, in the a.m. and the p.m. in the inside of your mouth, send it in and a little time passes and the results are given you via email. Posted on the web site, to see how many other families of similar situation you will match. For the male side, so much less expensive, and does give the numbers and also that your DNA will match with other surnames possibly. Very interesting stuff. Wish I had paid more attention to Life Science in school. Might have lead to a better profession than I sort of was forced into. Ah, genealogy, brings out so much information and history etc, too late. Pat cw
