    2. Could that have been Joseph MILLS, the rifle maker, Long Rifles fame. Also could this family MILLS be part and parcel of the Joseph MILLS - Hannah MARIS family? Did they also move on from PA to OH and back again to NJ then to NC. I am open to all suggestions. They were Quakers, I believe. Pat cw

    3. I can save you some time on this line of thought. Joseph and Hannah (Maris) Mills is not the Joseph you are looking for in this inquiry, nor part of this Mills line unless the connection is prior to 1687. Joseph and Hannah came to Clinton Co. OH in December of 1812. They removed from Guilford Co. NC in September of 1812.
