Mary Hawkins, of Jasper Co, who is the wife of Willis MILLS, is the daughter of Ann MILLS and Isaac Hawkins. Ann MILLS is the dau of ELijah MILLS and Mary Hawkins of Clinton Co, Ohio. Mary apparently died in Lancaster, Indiana. Elijah had a brother Enoch, and he lived in Marion Co, IN. Possibly that is the connection of which you seek. Maybe it is the sons of this family that joined their cousins in Jasper and Newton, and then moved on to Oklahoma and Texas. There are other MILLS families of Indiana, the MILLS - DRIVER families, I know that did go to MO and some of them went up to Michigan and over into Wisconsin, too. MILLS married DENNIS, and MILLS married PAINTER, and so forth. I do not have spouses and children for all of these families, so cannot exactly identify the John F, Thomas, Thomas J, etc., but it just might be that is the connection of which you are in search.
