Do not know if it is of any help, but Ira D Mills DAR Patriot, married before 1850. He had a son Preston. It might be that family branch. Other children were Rhoda Marie, Louisa, Parris, William, Lydia C, Ira D Jr., and James. At that time, I only wrote down the names. Rhoda married John Hester. Louisa married Mr. Lewis, Lydia C married Mr. Smith. I found his name and this reference from the LDS Library a long time ago. The film number at the WLA LDS FHL Center, in Westwood, Ca.
