Pat, yes, James Ellison is my great grandfather...by his first wife Mary Collier Mills. Jane Breed Dearborn came from Orangy, NJ to marry Mills in 1894. He died in 1901 in Mexico and she, in Brookline, MA in 1927. If you fish around long enough on the Orange, NJ website there is a bit of an obit on Jane Dearborn http://www.twnorgbic.net/dearborn.html She was older and really is a grand grand by marriage. The LUke Mills family tree is mine. David Rudge has done most of that work...some of us are trying to fill in the blanks. I have many of them filled now...but I can not find where Mary Collier Mills died or where she is buried. I suspect Quincy, CA but I can't find it. Since first posting..I have really delved into all sorts of possibilities and actually had success. Wahoooo. On the Luke Mills site I am Hiram F, William E, Sr, James Ellison, Perserved Brayton, Joseph, Elligood Sr, and Luke. Believe it or not..I started looking last Novermber (05) and found so much. Lots of help from David R., Heritage Quest and the fact that history was in the making with the families of that time. I don't know if we have emailed before. I signed up for the list, but have only responded to one person, personally. Most of the Mills are from the South and altho they might be distant cousins...mine are from ME and MA.
