Everyone please keep my search problem in mind as you exchange info on the various Mills lines. My ancestor Rev. Sol. Moses Mills, born ca 1747, joined the Rev. War 1776 from Halifax Co., VA, was at Valley Forge and the battles of Brandywine, Germantown, Monmouth Courthouse and at Gates defeat near Camden. He later married 1787 in Charlotte Co., VA to Keronhappuck Rather, dau. of James and Lucy Rather. They moved to Elbert Co., GA were they remained for many years before moving to Fayette Co., GA where Moses died. Their children were William, James and Martha Clabourn Mills. The Clabourn name could be a clue to Moses ancestry, even though the surname of Keronhappuck's mother Lucy is unknown. The oldest son William named his children, in order of birth, Frances, Moses Edward, Lucy Adderline, Augustus Lafayett, Maria Louisa, Benjamin Franklin, Amanda Catherine and Susan Ann Mills.
