Hi Marsi how close is Darke to Guernsey? we might have some connections. I am researching my great-grandfather JAMES LEWIS MILLS of Guernsey County Ohio born July 23, 1830. Married PHILOMENA SHAFFER in 1860. They moved to Auglaize and Allen Counties after the Civil War and raised their children: Maryetta, Jennie, John, Ellen, Maud, Emma, and Charles. Any bells? JAMES is my brick wall, and I've so far been unable to identify his parents or any siblings (if there were any). thanks Carol Binkley Willis On Tue, 27 Jun 2006 21:16:17 -0700 (PDT) Marsami Millonzi <marsamifw@yahoo.com> writes: > Hi, Are there any Mills descendants from Darke Co, Ohio out there??? > I have written a book and am looking for additional information for > the supplemental that I am currently working on. Hi, Carol - Have you by any chance had anyone (male with the Mills surname) participate in the Mills DNA study? Some of us have, and there is a definite NJ/Ohio connection within our Mills line (ask Pat "Chekwriter", whose ancestors made the trek westward from NJ). MY brick wall is a Lewis Mills b.1817. He was married in NJ. It may be that "Lewis" is a family name. Might be worth your while to track down one of your Mills relatives and convince them to join. Good luck - Jim Mills -----Original Message----- From: Carol A Willis [mailto:carol.of.colorado.springs@juno.com] Sent: Tuesday, July 11, 2006 6:09 AM To: MILLS-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [MILLS] Mill of Darke Co, Ohio Hi Marsi how close is Darke to Guernsey? we might have some connections.
