Supposedly he is related to Darilus Odgen Mills. William had five livling childrenThomas, Henry, Robert, and Sarah who married Robert Lusher. Robert MIlls is the national architect. My descendent base born. He, too, is named William, as well as seven others down the line. My Willilam was born in Dundee, Scotland 1747. James' obituary states he was born north of England. I guess in proper circles it was not polite to admit you were Scottish. William sent his sons Thomas and Henry to Scotland for schooling after the Revolutionary War to Thomas Mills, an architect. I have not found him either.
