    1. Re: [MILLS] Castine and Phebe's daughter Rebecca
    2. Hi Sally and List Sorry meant to say/type: listed and they. Did not mean to confuse any one. Yes, the storm, Hurricane IKE came into the Gulf, and landed at Galveston, per the news weather people. Then came on north and turned apparently, some what north and in an easterly direction, and went through the Ohio Valley, and did much damage and tribulations. Very hard hit areas, information through email from the Dayton Daily News, I subscribe to it. Dayton, my Dad's and family stomping grounds growing up, and also FFO kind of status, through other allied families with MILLS related who previously joined the organization. Not sure if the storm that hit Chicago area, was fall out from Hurricane IKE but could be. Might have de-stabilized the areas weather patterns. What a switch here with the weather too, from 90s the other day, to this morning barely above 60. right now it is 61 degrees. 4:44p.m. PCT As you all say, Winter is upon us, weather, no pun intended, we wish it to be so. Or as the saying goes, FALL has fallen. Spring is right behind. Always a promise for Flowers and rebirth. (Possibly we are going right past Autumn to Fall and winter not all that far behind, too.) I happened to check for WYETH or WYETHE family surname on my now newly changed named file, OTHER to OTHER MILLS VA related, found that the surname ties in with the LIVINGSTON family, that also married into the MILLS family of the Darius OGDEN MILLS, of MILLS Mansion fame, of Stattsburg, NY. Hudson River Valley now the grounds and home are open to the public for tours. Neighbors returned items, furniture to the big house to ready it for the opening. Great Old Home, per the web site, Hudson River Valley, New York. Darius was very well known family established the Bank of California in Tulare Ca, and on from there. His brother Charles also active in the banking world. See Wikipedia for more about him/their family members, etc. where died, buried if so listed, etc. Was not someone looking for CUNNINGHAM family name, recently.? Darius Ogden MILLS, his wife was Jane Templeton CUNNINGHAM, etc. may be part of that family group. Pat cw PS note, just a heavy shower went through, now all cleared off, just somewhat gray clouds passing over me. (Sorry, if I did not mention it, I am Portland, Oregon. In a message dated 9/21/2008 4:15:02 P.M. Pacific Daylight Time, [email protected] writes: Pat, none of the Mills' names ever coincide with my family. However, it has been pouring for two days north of you. I am already very tired of winter. Did this storm really come from the Gulf? I hope that these folks link up somehow to the Mills' family to which they belong. Off topic...sorry. sally ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]>; <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, September 21, 2008 4:01 PM Subject: Re: [MILLS] Castine and Phebe's daughter Rebecca > On doing a search for the name Costine or Corstine MILLS comes up on > rootsweb.
