No, my Mills were from Maine and the Hutchings were from California. Well James was from England. Yosemite Valley. I think the closest to Kansas was David Collier Mills who was born in St. Louis, MO and his father James Elligood Mills worked as a geologist in that area in the mid 1880s. Wish I could help.
