NJ per researchers on rootsweb.com. He born ca 1756, which would have made him a contemporary of Thomas B: ca 1765. There are a couple Thomas MILLS' who are of the area of Maryland, New Jersey, but not so far, documented as being related. James did travel through PA on his way to the Northwest Territory as early settlers, FFO, etc. So far, that I can see, no one has come forward with a present day male MILLS to do a DNA Test. Which would confirm or deny, prove otherwise, which family MILLS that James and or Thomas belongs. The story about Thomas/John being attacked by the Indians, and almost killed, then being nursed back to health by a doctor. It could have been Mrs. Sarah MILLS, James' wife who did the nursing. On the Family Tree Maker, Family Archives of Ohio, CD #450 set of 6 disks, Montgomery Co, and what is now Hamilton Co. Ohio, area of Losantiville, tells the stories. I had the page numbers on my computer, but the hard drive crashed day after Christmas 2007, so cannot access that information. Nor can I seem to find the software that let me read that CD set of disks. Does anyone on this board, have any information on the MILLS - Sarah and James, and Thomas, that they might be related, and can be of any help to this thread??? Pat cw I do not see Thomas and Mary WILLIAMSON listed on rootsweb or other places. Anyone know where this family might be posted?? Out There". Thank you so much.
