Any one out there in MILLS LAND, can you assist?? thank you. pat cw ____________________________________ From: ChekWriter To: [email protected] Sent: 8/13/2008 1:50:14 P.M. Pacific Daylight Time Subj: Re: [NJUNION] Chandlers?First Pres. Church, Eliz., NJ I just noticed Seth FLETCHER's name on the list, down a couple replies to the list. Nancy PASCAL I think was just asking about his name on the list, too. Many people also responded to her about him. Very interesting person, Mr. FLETCHER. Pat cw Not sure how it all comes together, I am still drowning in MILLS surnamed folk, and not found the complete link of all of them of Sussex Co. NJ, either. Found another MILLS, Jennie E who married Edward Vaughan, had son George Robert. They all 3 died in 1933, and Rupert SEXTON wrote me back says there was a Flu Epidemic that year and a lot of folk passed from it. Rupert SEXTON wrote me back says he does not recall those names on his rootsweb data base, but they are on there. Did find Jennie E MILLS on the 1880 Census for Sparta, Sussex Co. NJ with her parents, Robert and Mary, and brother, Peter R. So she was in the right neighborhood, and I kind of have put them together. Now just need confirmation that Jennie E MILLS listed as dau of Robert and Mary MILLS of Sparta, Sussex Co. NJ, is the same family of Robert MILLS and Mary HARDIN on various data bases on rootsweb. Also on that same census record list, down a few doors from the MILLS family is a Samuel HARDIN age 70plus and a Carrie HARDIN age 22. Maybe a niece or grand daughter?? Could one surmise that they too are related to Mary HARDIN, listed as spouse to Robert MILLS etc. In a message dated 8/10/2008 1:34:41 P.M. NJ and with CANFIELD/CAMFIELD. Everyone I know about was Presbyterian, from various congregations. I wonder if the CHANDLER's you mention may have been Loyalists, hence their departure to Canada. I know that there was a prominent Loyalist (Anglican) family of CHANDLER's also in Elizabethtown. Beats me whether these may have been different branches of the same family. As luck would have it, I know more about the allied families than I do about my Presbyterian CHANDLER line. I'll archive your message and will see if I can find any connection.
