With additional research, I am fairly sure the Elizabeth Mills who married into our Elisha Colbert family has a William Mills as father, and he was in Gallatin Co., IL, mid 1800's. She indicated, however, that her family lived two to three days journey from IL. What that means we don't know, but I have found Mills families in the upper regions of GA/Carolinas and lower TN areas.
