Elizabeth (Mills) Herron remarried after the death of Daniel Herron and I would like to know if anyone in this family has the answer as to his name and where they were married?? This will help me find her death information...... Daniel Herron b. abt 1844 Indiana married Elizabeth Mills 22 Oct 1865 Tipton Co. IN. Elizabeth Mills was a daughter of Andrew J. Mills and Mary "Polly" Richards. Daniel and family are in KS by 1869 and in Miami Co., KS by Mar 1875. Daniel died and buried Jun 1894 in Lane, Franklin Co., Kansas. His wife Elizabeth is found 21 Jun 1900 in Crowell Twp., Woods Co., OK living with her son Amos: 1900 Census Crowell Twp, Woods Co, Oklahoma - 21 June, Roll 1343 Page 102a hse 151 fam 152 Herron, Amos M Head W M Nov 1873 26 marr. 3mo KS IN IN Farmer Owns Mabel M Wife F Oct 1884 15 marr. 3 mo no children KS OH NY Elizabeth Mother W F May 1844 56 wid 4 children, 3 living. IN OH NC. Evidently, Elizabeth remarried abt 1907-08. She is dropped from the widow's pension of Daniel Herron: 2 Nov 1908 - Pensioner Dropped. Remarriage - Certificate No. 410276, Widow, Elizabeth Herron, Soldier: Daniel, Service Private, Co. B, 75th, Ind. Vol Inf. The above last paid $8 to 4 Nov 1907. Dropped beause of her remarriage. (the date 2 Nov 1908 is a stamped date). The children of Daniel and Elizabeth Herron: 1- Elinor Mary Herron b. Nov 1867 IN, married 18 Jan 1886 Franklin Co., Kansas to James McHone. I find this family 1900 in Crowell Twp., Woods Co., OK. 1910 in Dane Twp., Major Co., OK; 1920 Newark Twp., Wilson Co., KS. Elinor died before 1930, but her husband is living in 1930 Wichita, Sedgwick Co., KS. Their children were Pearl, Anna and Linnie. 2- Nathaniel C. Herron b. 27 Feb 1869 KS. Married Lulie Ralston (probably in Miami Co. KS?) Nathaniel died Jul 1921 in Lane, Franklin Co., KS. His wife Lulie remarried after Nathaniel's death to William F. Risdon 19 Jun 1929 Franklin Co., KS. Nathaniel and Lulie's children: Edith, Ethel, Elsie and Earl. 3- Amos Madison Herron b. 13 Nov 1873 KS. Married 1st Mable M. Lee, 5 Apr 1900 Miami Co., KS. She was age 15. They moved 21 Jun 1900 to Crowell Twp., Woods Co., OK right after they married. Mable died 11 Aug 1909 probably in Oklahome, but is buried in Miami Co. KS. Amos is found 1910 Seiling, Dewey Co., OK, 1920 & 1930 Wichita, Sedgwick Co., KS. Amos married 2nd Hattie Stanley between 1910 & 1920. Amos died 24 Jun 1941 Santa Clara Co., California. Children of Amos and Mable: Hazel (died young), Lee D. 4- I think there was a son John born abt 1880 in Kansas. The 1900 census of Elizabeth Mills Herron shows she had 4 children and 3 living in 1900. This could be the deceased child. Thanks for taking the time to read all this.
