I have also found that census. Thomas Mills tombstone dates are 1861-1950. I do have a couple of pictures of Minnie and James Dowd. I have a copy of Minnie's obit in the Savannah Morning News. I also have a family picture of some Dowds from a family reunion. I have a lot more Mills than Dowd. Would love to share more info.
