Descendants of Curtis Mills Generation No. 1 1. CURTIS1 MILLS was born 1760 in North or South Carolina, and died 1816 in Tennessee. He married ANN LOVELADY 28 Jan 1784 in Greene County, Tennessee, daughter of JOHN LOVELADY and SARAH MORGAN. She was born Abt. 1762 in North Carolina, and died Abt. 1820 in Tennessee. Notes for CURTIS MILLS: His father-in-law, John Lovelady was on the tax rolls of Green County Tn in 1783, the year before Curtis weds Ann Lovelady. I do find it interesting that on that same tax roll and a member of the community is John Crockett who was David "Davy" Crocketts father. David was born three years later on Aug 17 1786. Since John Crockett and John Lovelady were in the dame community and served in the revolution together in the Battle of Kings Mountain SC, it stands to reason that they knew each other and that Curtis mist likely knew Crockett. ________________________________________ More About CURTIS MILLS and ANN LOVELADY: Marriage: 28 Jan 1784, Greene County, Tennessee Child of CURTIS MILLS and ANN LOVELADY is: 2. i. So it will be a few days and I am probably being optimistic before I am up and running. I am borrowing Gary's laptop, so it is taking some getting used to. The other things are I have been gone we have had a death in the family and I am about to leave again. I will leave on Friday and be gone about 9 days, so don't think I am ignoring everything, I am not. Please keep me informed of any new finds, etc, I will be up and running as soon as I can be. In the meantime I will also mention that my eye surgeries start on July 23,, they will be done a week or two apart and it looks like three surgeries and some laser tweakings, but hopefully things will be a lot better.
