    3. Edward Mills who married Hannah Avery was baptized at Groton, Con., 5 April 1747, the son of John and Hannah (Starr) Childs) Mills. I just published an article on this family, "Some Descendants of Robert Mills of York, Maine" in The Maine Genealogist, 30 (Nov. 2008):147-58. This article mentions DNA that relates descendants of John Mills of Stamford, Conn., to this Robert Mills family. I have Lucy Mills who married Giles Dayton jr. in 1798. She was the daughter of Cpl. Edward Mills & Hannah Avery; Edward was killed in 1781 at Ft. Griswold when Benedict Arnold attacked Groton. Edward was the son of John Mills & Hannah Starr. John is my brick wall, I can not find his parents or tie him to any of the other Mills lines in the New England area. Does anyone else have any information on this Mills line? >Thank you for any information you may provide. > >Important Note: >The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
