    2. Shirley and List: Help, sort of. Shirley, you were talking about John and Sarah HARDESTY MILLS and John and Rachel LEONARD MILLS. That John Jr was a nephew to "a" Elijah and Jacob MILLS? Oddly, I do not have any one MILLS family with that configuration of MILLS'. Curiously, I am remembering a long time back, one of the Ohio genealogy societies was trying to find a home for a name marker carved for a William MILLS around either Marietta or Marion, Washington Co, Ohio. How far is Ohio Washington County to Pennsylvania Washington County? Could that William have been related to the John's that we are talking about? If so, I believe that he is the one with several brothers who were employed variously running the mail down river, and also taking passengers. One was Charles, one, OF COURSE, JOHN, and then William MILLS. Does anyone else remember this? Did anyone on the list end with that marker? It was in commemoration of the early settlers of the area around there. I do have Elijah, Jacob, John as sons of Hope III and Teunis GULICK MILLS, of that MILLS line. The other Elijah and Jacob I have as son of Thomas MILLS that relate to the JAY families, who I have as Quakers. pat cw
