I did try to find something on them and didn't have much luck. Do you know what happened to descendants of Charles? I know he had a son Charles or Charley but I only found him in one census, so figured he moved away and there are so many Charles Mills after 1900 that I couldn't place one as being him. I am researching Charles Mills wifes' family the Gean's or Jean's.

    2. Mary Kelly shows her parents as James and Mary from Kentucky. James MILLS is listed as being born in TN? James and Mary KELLY had 11 children. Says MILLS family moved on to MO then AR. Renee Newman and a John MILLS wrote to the message boards back in November 2005, about this same family. Have you compared your information together? Or are you related? Pat cw

    2. Colleen Wilson
    3. Hello, Tammy: What a coincidence. My maternal Mills are having a Reunion July 22 in Shell Knob, MO. My MILLS came from Rowan and Iredell Counties North Carolina. They departed NC shortly after 1850 and arrive Dent County, MO prior to 1855. Grt grt grdfather Neil/Neill MILLS was shot and killed by a neighbor over a dispute of a wire fence. Survivors were his wife Nancy WOLIVER MILLS and Dovey and Margaret (twins) and Charles, David, Columbus Cornelius (my grt grt grdfather), Keziah, Jacob and Mary Ann. Ancestry goes back to St. Mary's County, MD. Unknown if they traveled with anyone else. Neill's father and stepmother, Charles Nathaniel Jr and his third wife Nancy BROOKS MILLS left Iredell Co, NC earlier and may have been in Tennessee. Will give more details at a later date and would like to very much to hear about your Reunion. Perhaps there may be some connection. Sounds interesting. colleen ----- Original Message ----- From: <hydi828@charter.net> To: <MILLS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, May 23, 2006 9:38 AM Subject: [MILLS] Mills Reunion 2006 Web site -- Hello Everyone, I would like to take this opportunity to tell everyone about a Mills Reunion in Sneedville, Tennessee, July 22,23, 2006 We have a new web site for you to view. web address: www.geocities.com/millsreunion2006 Anyone that is related or think they might be related or just want to come are invited to join in the fun. Mills, Mary Frances Mills born in 1846 in Rall County, Missouri. They lived on the outskirts of Hannibal. Her son, Charles B. Davis, was my grandfather. He became a Federal Judge in St. Louis, Mo. I am trying to find information on Charles B. Mills' mother, Mary Kelly who was born in Kentucky. Also, I am trying to find information on the grandfather of James M. Mills, John Mills who died in the Revolutionary War. I do not know the name of his wife nor of any ancestry prior to John. I would love to compare notes with any Mills relatives on this. I am researching a story told to my mother by Mary Frances Mills that we are related to the Sarah (Sally) Cary Fairfax to whom George Washington proposed. This Sally Fairfax, of Virginia and then Bath, England was descended from Mary Boleyn, the sister of Anne Boleyn. My middle name is Mills.
