    2. These families are listed on RootsWeb.com. I have seen Jesse MILLS listed both ways. With wife as Martha MILLS, dau of David and Rebecca, as well as Martha SMITH, No parents listed. I do not know if the SMITH is a typo, from the upload to rootsweb.com or if she truly were a SMITH rather than the MILLS. Just Curious. Would like to verify if possible so that my Westchester Co., NY, MILLS are accurate. thank you pat cw

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/jE1.2ACEB/2626.1.1.1.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Another son of David and Rebecca Mills was Stephen Mills. The Cornwallis Township Book in Kings County, Nova Scotia his him married on 3 Jan 1799 to Lydia Rebecca Parker b. 13 May 1780, the daughter of Daniel Parker and Lydia Brewster. (I'm interested in tracing the descendants of this family and only recently discovered the connection between Stephen Mills and Cumberland County.) Stephen Mills and Lydia Rebecca had the following children: Samuel Brewster b. 22 Mar 1800 Lydia b. 23 Jun 1802 Daniel b. 21 Jul 1805 Rebecca b. 29 Jul 1814 ..and perhaps others. I believe that Daniel married Mary Ann Kinsman, daughter of Jeremiah Kinsman and Lavinia Clark, but another record gives him married to Jane Newcomb (I have Zipporah Newcomb from the birth records which gives a marriage date of July 1860) and had children Frederick Mills b. abt 1864 and William Henry Mills b. 24 May 1866. The boys are listed in the 1871 census as living with the family of Lavinia Webster, widow aged 40 and Samuel Pearson aged 55 in Kings County. I can't find the boys in the 1881 census. Frederick had Enslie and George who both died in MA? I'm also interested in who Jane or Zipporah Newcomb was.....the only Jane that I can find in the Newcomb Genealogy who might fit would be the daughter of Dan Webster Newcomb b. 9 Mar 1815 in Cornwallis and married to Maria Randall. Very scant info on this family...only lists three children with no dates: Sophronia, Joseph, and Jane. Can anyone confirm who Daniel married?

    1. Re: [MILLS] Mary MILLS 1616-1692 Boston, MA m. James HAWKINS
    2. Apparently Mary also married Daniel ABBOTT/ABBOT and had a couple of children. According to other researchers with their databases on rootsweb.com and other gen sites. I would also be interested to find the names of other MILLS children of John and Susannah/Susan/Susana Pope MILLS, of Boston, MA. Thank you pat cw Mary seems to be the only one listed that I have seen. There is a later Mary MILLS who married James HAWKINS in Clinton Co. Ohio, but that is in the 1800's.

    1. Re: [MILLS] Margery Mills of PA.
    2. another researcher has this family on their database probably on various gen sites, but the wife of Mills Hays is Eve Crull not Margery MILLS. Margery MILLS is listed as wife to Jesse Hayes. Margery MILLS is listed as dau of James and Joanna MILLS of York, PA. son of Robert and Mary Carleton MILLS of Ireland. Mills HAYES I do not think would marry his MOTHER???? Not even in those days of early PA. Do you have more information about this family MILLS and HAYESHAYS of early PA. Not sure that this family tree is correct either, but then again county histories might be a little off too. Memories in those days, could be questioned. pat cw

Date: Wed, 9 Aug 2006 01:13:16 -0700 ----- Original Message ----- And let me ad this. Companies relabeling all their material so that they are in English and Spanish are also part of the problem......................If you keep writing everything in Spanish, why should they learn the language? I am sorry but after hearing they want to sing the National Anthem in Spanish - enough is enough. No where did they sing it in Italian, Polish, Irish (Celtic), German or any other language because of immigration. It was written by Francis Scott Key and should be sung word for word the way it was written. The news broadcasts even gave the translation -- not even close. Sorry if this offends anyone but this is MY COUNTRY - IF IT IS YOUR COUNTRY SPEAK UP ---- please pass this along~ I am not against immigration -- just come through like everyone else. Get a sponsor; have a place to lay your head; have a job; pay your taxes, live by the rules AND LEARN THE LANGUAGE as all other immigrants have in the past -- and GOD BLESS AMERICA! PART OF THE PROBLEM Think about this: If you don't want to forward this for fear of offending someone-----YOU'RE PART OF THE PROBLEM !!!! Will we still be the Country of choice and still be America if we continue to make the changes forced on us by the people from other countries that came to live in America because it is the Country of Choice?????? Think about it! All we have to say is, when will they do something about MY RIGHTS? We've gone so far the other way, bent over backwards to not offend anyone, that I am now being offended. But it seems that no one has a problem with that. This says it all! This is an editorial written by an American citizen, published in a Tampa newspaper. He did quite a job; didn't he? Read on, please! IMMIGRANTS, NOT AMERICANS, MUST ADAPT. I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Americans. However...... the dust from the attacks had barely settled when the "politically correct! " crowd began complaining about the possibility that our patriotism was offending others. I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming to America. Our population is almost entirely made up of descendants of immigrants. However, there are a few things that those who have recently come to our country, and apparently some born here, need to understand. This idea of America being a multicultural community has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity. As Americans.....we have our own culture, our own society, our own language and our own lifestyle. This culture has been developed over centuries of struggles, trials, and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom. We speak ENGLISH, not Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, learn the language! "In God We Trust" is our national motto. This is not some Christian, right wing, political slogan. We adopted this motto because Christian men and women.......on Christian principles............. founded this nation..... and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home.........because God is part of our culture. If Stars and Stripes offend you, or you don't like Uncle Sam, then you should seriously consider a move to another part of this planet We are happy with our culture and have no desire to change, and we really don't care how you did things where you came from. This is OUR COUNTRY, our land, and our lifestyle. Our First Amendment gives every citizen the right to express his opinion and we will allow you every opportunity to do so! But once you are done complaining....... whining...... and griping.......about our flag......our pledge......our national motto.......or our way of life...I highly encourage you to take advantage of one other Great American Freedom.... THE RIGHT TO LEAVE. It is Time for America to Speak up If you agree -- pass this along; if you don't agree -- delete it! __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
