I can throw in a query for a MILLS family member. Mary Martha MILLS married a Walter THORNBERG/THORNBURG/H son of Edward and Jean. No dates given, no places, either. _Www.familysearch.org_ (http://www.familysearch.org) says he was of Armagh, IRELAND. No information on Mary Martha MILLS. Does any one know anything her, who are her family MILLS??? Is she same as John MILLS - HARROLD - BEALS - BOWATER - etc. Their daughter Hannah married Henry MILLS, son of John. Or a different MILLS family, not yet researched. Seems to be a discrepancy as to who were Edward's parents and wives? Thank you Pat cw In a message dated 8/28/2008 6:51:20 P.M. Yes. And gearing up return to school, and relocation for new positions. Relocation always happens it seems just before school starts. Political goings on as well. Planning a great Labor Day weekend. Last big vacation slot of time, have to last until Thanksgiving Weekend holiday. Many items pulling at us from all points. To occupy our time. Ancestor search is not necessarily of the highest priority limitations these days. cw In a message dated 8/28/2008 6:51:20 P.M. Notice that this family is listed on _www.familysearch.org_ (http://www.familysearch.org) . Alone, no parents for Benjamin. But there are listed parents for his wife, Agnes STEVENS. Hello! I saw your message in ROOTSWEB and thought I'd email you to see if there's anything I have that would match your information. My Great Grandpa William (no middle initial) Mills lived in Monaghan, born in Dublin, Ireland May 1851 - parents were Sam Mills b. 1824, Anne Jane (Smyth or Smith) b 1826, they were married in 2-23-1849. GGpa William came to USA in 1872 and lived in Ashtabula, OH. His siblings were: Mary (?) b. 1854 George b. 1861 Andrew b. 1864 Eliza b. 10-27-65 Margaret or Maggie b. 5-68 Sarah b. 6-20-1871 Samuel b. 1874 They all came over after GGpa Wm. in 1880. GGpa William ended up moving to Portageville, Missouri where he died in 1911. It doesn't seem likely that Mills family in Monoghan WOULDN'T be related in some way. Not really a common name in Ireland. I have more info to share if you're interested, although my info is limited because I work on this stuff sporadically. Thanks! Audrey

Unfortunately I do not have any information on the parents or siblings (if any) for Ann Mills. The 1871 marriage record for Otoe County, Nebraska does not have a place for the names of parents and in the place for her birth in the "County of" and "State of" it just says "Leicester" and "England." This was her first marriage as she is listed as "Miss Ann Mills." There is no death record for Ann as she died in 1902, two years before death records started being kept in Nebraska. Ann's cemetery headstone states she was born on 27 Aug 1844. In the 1880 and 1900 U.S. census Ann and both of her parents are listed as being born in England. The 1900 U.S. census (the only one to do so) lists her birth month and year as Aug. 1844. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
