I followed your attached file and it was, in fact, my family. Here's how it goes: Sophia Mills married Jacob Redder (Reader) becoming Sophia Elizabeth Redder. They had a total of seven children. I knew of one but you led me directly to five more and indirectley to one more. The child, Sophia Elizabeth Reader grew up to marry Joseph C. Jamieson (my great Grandfather) and they had three natural children, Alvah Samuel Jamieson, Ethel Mary Jamieson and Sophia Elizabeth Jamieson and one adopted child, Goddan Jamieson. Alvah Samuel Jamieson was my grandfather. My name, by the way, is Bradford Redder Jamieson, Jr. Up until 2006 there were a total of four Bradford Redder Jamiesons all alive at the same time. My dad, Bradford Redder Jamieson, Sr. passed away in August, 2006. The good news is that all four of us were together for dad's 90th birthday party in December, 2003. Sorry to have rambled on but your posting confirmed a lot of missing information including how my grandfather happened to be born in Corning, NY. Most of his family tied back to Boston, MA. Thanks again for your help!! Brad Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Helen and Listers re MILLS - JAMSION family members. Also did a search for just the surname of JAMISON and used NY as the birth place. Many popped on the listing. But several with Stueben Co. NY references, birth and death. Possibly they might be related to your JAMISON family. It may be that your particular branches of both the MILLS and JAMISON's have NOT been previously researched. You may be the the one "breaking ground" for them. Pat cw a few of them are: rstep, wolfie2021, ms sunshine 10, lindag8, 1932527, hindskw, mapman, etc. You might contact those folk who have posted their tree, and see if you might find a link.
