I am reposting this in hopes someone have some information that will help with my Miller brickwall..... I am trying to find the parents or ancestors of my GG Grandfather Newel Henry Miller. He was born in SC on February 07, 1832 and lived in Richmond Co. GA. (Augusta Ga) with his parents for a while, he was in Bibb Co. Ga with his wife, Elizabeth Mary Birket and 2 children on the 1860 federal census. He was killed in the 2nd Battle of Manassas, VA. War Between the States 1864. Found on the 1860 Census, Page No. 43 Bibb County Ga., household #317 as follows: Name age Occupation Place of Birth Henry N. Miller 26 m Laborer South Carolina Mary E. 25 f Mary C. 4 f Sarah A. 4/10 f They named their first born male child Henry A. Miller, and their only other male child William Henry Newel Miller, my G Grandfather. Based on what I have been able to find so far, which is very little, his fathers name may have been William Henry Miller, or Henry Miller and his mothers name may have been Catherine Bennett, nether of these have been proven. I keep looking for any Miller in SC of the time period with a "N" or Newel in their name hoping I will find a link to a SC Miller family. Thanks to anyone who may provide any clues, William W.
